Trudge
Trudge
Through somber gates
Restless wood and wind
Visions of past encounters and all the many men alike
A fleeting future that longs to be forgotten
Blame cannot be past for such desire
Take me now as I am
Tomorrow I will realize my potential
But no sooner than that
Not until times change
Perhaps lost forever is every soul of this generation
Though no fault of ours
It will all be our fault
Where will you be when you remember where you were
Uncertain days loom ahead
History before it happens
As an unrelenting storm brews beyond the horizon
Unmistakable is its warning
I refuse to seek shelter
If the masses ever realized their limitless potential
No nation would have a name
We live before the awakening
Through somber gates
Tamped sand by wave
We trudge forward
